My first time here ,definitely not my last. My friend knew about the Pork Shank that's NOT on the menu . OMG We died and went to heaven!!!

Today, I visited Enrique's, a serene and inviting Mexican restaurant with a bohemian ambiance. Upon arrival, I was greeted with complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa was exceptionally flavorful, featuring well-roasted tomatoes, finely chopped onions, and a harmonious blend of garlic and jalapeños. It complemented both margaritas and other beverages without overpowering them. For my main course, I selected the Chile Verde, which typically comes with small pieces of pork. However, Enrique's elevates this dish by serving it with expertly shredded pork in a mild tomatillo sauce. The pork melted in my mouth, and the sauce had a delightful citrus flavor. For those who prefer a spicier experience, the habanero house salsa is an excellent choice. It provides a significant amount of heat with a delightful citrusy undertone. This salsa perfectly complemented the Chile Verde. The accompanying Mexican rice was moist, well-seasoned, and one of the best I have tasted. The beans were also excellent, with a pleasing texture. My server, Kenji, was exceptionally attentive and friendly. He went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was exceptional. I intend to return to Enrique's to sample their other culinary offerings.

Best chips and salsa anywhere, have never found salsa that competes with theirs. They do a roasted salsa mixed with a pico that is perfect. Order the pork shank & cheese enchiladas combo with a taco. Another must is the Chile verde burrito. Their soups and salads are surprisingly good for a Mexican spot, the bread pudding is our favorite dessert. We always return, nothing scratches the Mexican food itch like Enrique's. One of the best Mexican restaurants in SoCal, reasonably priced, portions are huge. They have a loyal following for a good reason. Enrique and his wife must treat their staff well, because we always see the same people, and the owners are friendly as well. Good people, great restaurant.

Consistently amazing Mexican food, especially the shrimp paella. All items on their menu are fabulous and worth trying. We ate at the original location (which has sinced closed) for about 20 years and never had a bad meal. The PCH location is also excellent. I miss the seafood paella which included scallops, shrimp, and either mahi mahi or salmon (if available) featured at the original location on Downey Ave and the 91 freeway. The PCH location only offers shrimp or chicken paella and thankfully the flavor profile is the same as the original Enrique's. Family owned restaurant and all the meals are prepared with love and it shows!! We have since moved across the country and every time I am back in SoCal I make it a point to visit Enrique's. If you are within a 50 mile range of the restaurant, it's worth the drive!

10/10. Best Mexican in LA/OC!!! Bistec, carne asada, carnitas, tacos, ceviche... all AMAZING!

We felt lucky to find this spot! The flavors remind me of my mom's delicious meals! The chips & salsa are so good & our soups abondigas & posole the fresh flavors & ingredients were perfection & filled us up!

We decided to visit Enrique's, one of our all-time favorites. The Carne en su Jugo was delicious. The beef, the tomatillo sauce, and the bacon all come together to makes this a great dish. We also had Chile Relleno and Chicken Tostada, a very satisfying classic. But the star of the dinner is the Braised Pork Shank. If you're a fan of carnitas, then you'll love the pork shank. This slow-cooked, flavorful meat is juicy falls right off the bone, and blends into a tangy tomatillo sauce. Definitely shareable, otherwise you will have leftovers for the next day. Great and attentive staff. Relax vibe.

Customer service Great chips and salsa Comfy, cozy ambience Where do I begin...!? This place has it all! I always say when you go to a restaurant and the appetizer, complementary bread or chips and salsa are pretty tasty; you know the food is going to be good and that is exactly what happened. The salsa is the best salsa I have ever had in my life and the horchata...My goodness! To me, it was not too sweet ;it was just right ! I had the # 15 and it was phenomenal! My favorite item on my plate would have to be the tamal . . Both the masa and the pork had great flavor. With that being said, I suggest you get in your car, ride your bike, walk, better yet run down to Enrique's right now! Promise you won't regret it !
